Jannah will open things up for our event Cult=Us on 17th August.
A passion for intergalactic sounds and hypnotic groovy house and techno, predominantly from the 90s and 00s led to her learning to mix records around 6 years ago and she’s been thriving as a DJ ever since. She’s already played at the likes of Intergalactic FM Festival, Is Burning, Le Guess Who?, PIP, Was., and Perron and works part time at the legendary Clone . We’re super excited to see what she’ll bring with her on the night. Cheap €5 advance tickets are on sale now. 👽
Next up we have Gabalyn.
Based in Rotterdam for more than 10 years Gabalyn is deeply connected to the city’s thriving underground. As current manager of the Mechanism label and event series, active member of the Tar Hallow crew, staff at Triple Vision Record Distribution, and involved in the organisation of multidisciplinary art and music festivals Conflux in Rotterdam and Hospiz in South Tyrol, Italy, his passion for vinyl and techno in the broadest sense goes well beyond his signature freeform and fusion-style DJ sets.
Starting out as the eclectic harder styles DJ Rudi Ratte in his native South Tyrol, promoting various events throughout the region with the Culture Assault Records collective, since moving to the Netherlands Gabalyn has honed his DJ skills as a resident of PRSPCT, playing at some of the best and biggest dance music festivals in Europe, including Dominator, Decibel Outdoor, Hardshock, Rampage, Amsterdam Dance Event and Bang Face Weekender in the UK among others. Besides that he also founded and managed the PRSPCT Radio Station which was a fundamental platform for upcoming and established local and international artists over the Corona period.
Happily playing extended multi genre sets at free parties with the Chewbakka and DKH Soundsytems, more unconventional techno for cutting-edge culture festivals like Envision Free Space., Tec Art, Eendrachts Festival and dynamic club gigs with his Rotterdam crews, Gabalyn on the decks is always wild, funky and unexpected.
Closing things off is FTV label head, Birds, fresh off the back of the release of her debut album 'Home.' As a DJ, as well as through her music she exercises a never ending desire to explore sonic possibility and switch up genres continuously. Her sets reflect these curiosities and have an extremely transcendent nature to them; you never know whether you'll find yourself dancing to churning low tempo industrial techno, high octane acid bass lines, Italo, experimental Breaks or something far and between these things. Nothing is too weird or intense for a Birds DJ set. She has a monthly radio show on Netil Radio (the fourth Tuesday of the month 5pm-7pm), which is a residency that she's had for the past six years and is a regular face on local radio station, Operator. She has also played everywhere from Melbourne, to Mexico City, to Zagreb and many more locations around the world, sharing line-ups with the likes of Boys Noize, Pablo Bozzi, Jennifer Touch, Kris Baha, Marie Pravda, Ivna Ji, Martial Canterel, Perel & more.
Tickets for this event are just €5 advance and doors are at 22:00. Snap up a ticket here.
For her first Feed The Void takeover on Dutch soil, Birds takes over Rotterdam's V11 with a line-up of dark left-field electronics.
Mayo (United Identities/Absorb Emit) will play a live set. Her self built modular synth takes the lead in her sonic journeys. Following the ghosts in the cables, she creates immersive tracks, driven by sinister drum programming.
Fittingly, Mowgli will also play; with a persistent lean towards the darker and the grittier, Mowgli’s known for his leftfield selections that are stripped right back to the bare necessities. Heavy duty drum machine workouts and raw analogue synths are always on the menu, and this head chef is cooking up a storm whenever he steps behind the deck.
Birds herself will also be making her Rotterdam debut with her signature blend of eclectic dark sounds; from demonic 90s acid, Electro, 80’s EBM and New Wave, to bass and breaks.
Capacity is limited so grab an advance ticket sharply.
